Frequently Asked Questions
What applicants ask us most
Eight things that usually come up before someone presses apply. Still wondering about something? Ask us directly by message once your application is in.
Yes. Apply for every position that interests you and follow them all from a single My Applications page. We suggest a maximum of three, so that you have time to prepare a portfolio that is genuinely relevant to each one.
Three to four weeks on average from application to offer, depending on interview scheduling and the seniority of the role. You will hear from us at every stage change - including when we decide not to proceed, because waiting without an answer is the most exhausting part of applying.
Very much so. Most of our teaching and engineering teams are made up of people who learned cybersecurity self-taught or through a bootcamp. What we assess is evidence of work: write-ups, labs, open source projects, bug bounty reports, or teaching material you have produced - not a degree or the name of a university.
Yes. Every opening states its working pattern explicitly: on-site, hybrid or remote. You can filter the job board by working pattern, and for remote roles we only ask you to be in Bogor a few times a year for team sessions.
Certifications such as OSCP, eJPT, CEH or CompTIA Security+ help us read your background more quickly, but not one of them is required. A technical portfolio we can dig into almost always carries more weight than a list of certificates, and anyone who joins gets full access to all of our courses and labs to pursue certifications afterwards.
None, of any kind. Every stage of selection at Linuxhackingid is free, and we never ask for payment for registration, tests, training, uniforms or accommodation. If someone claiming to represent us asks you for money, it is a scam - report it to us through the contact page.
Once your application is submitted, every stage is visible on your My Applications page: received, under review, interview scheduled, through to the final decision. Interview invitations and messages from the recruitment team arrive in the same dashboard, so you do not have to rely on email alone.
Application data is kept for two years after the final decision, so that we can contact you again when a better-matching role comes up. You can withdraw consent or request erasure at any time through the Privacy Policy page, under Law No. 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection.
